There is nothing bad I can say about this waffle maker…except maybe I’d prefer a more “toaster friendly” waffle shape if you are the type who makes them ahead and freezes them.

I love “classic” waffles…NOT belgian…and it seems Classic waffle makers are hard to find. Cuisinart has made the best one of the 3 I’ve tried. The waffle maker is sleek but nicely made and substantial and does not have any unnecessary size or dials or controls or anything to it. You plug it in, the red light comes on to preheat. The preheat is pretty quick and the light goes to green. You pour the waffle and the light goes to red, then the green light is the signal the waffles are perfectly done. I’ve NEVER had a waffle maker that churned out such perfectly even (both sides the same done-ness!!!) waffles SO FAST. I swear it seemed like 30 sec per waffle.

Buy this waffle maker as a gift, or just to replace the one you have that’s not-so-great. You’ll be glad you did!

I use this waffle iron at least three times a month. My favorite recipe is the cornmeal waffles from the instruction book. They come out perfect every time.

A compact waffle maker that makes great waffles in a jiffy. Guess some would like a timer but this hasn’t been a problem for us. Why spend more!

Having written the most helpful review for a flip-over Belgian waffle maker, I found myself craving the classic “American”-style waffle after ordering one at the local Spires restaurant. We found this Cuisinart iron at Macy’s so I whipped out my debit card.

It takes only 1/3 cup of my own waffle batter recipe to fill the grids (and then some, given the tiny overflow rim) but the stainless steel exterior shrugs off overflows after the iron cools. Three minutes’ baking time on the number 3 setting does the job nicely. Despite the small size, the lid has enough heft to press down on the batter and force it upward into the top grid. Right now, I give the grids a kiss of nonstick cooking spray before the first waffle, but I believe in a few weeks’ usage, the grids will become seasoned enough to skip the greasing.

As with my review of the Belgian waffle maker, updates will be posted as they happen. Stay tuned!

Purchased because of it small size, reasonable price, and brand name. Not only is it small, it cook waffles evenly and quickly. Kids love them for dinner with strawberry topping.

I bought this for my Mom. She had a Black and Decker which broke.

I replaced with an off brand that did nothing but stick.

This one she loves and says it’s the best she has ever had.

The waffles have not stuck to the iron once. She also enjoys the

ability to adjust the temperature as this has a switch to do so.

One of the finest home appliances I have ever purchased or owned. Surely the finest waffle maker I have ever used. I cannot praise this too highly.
