Excellent large capacity waffler

Read the reviews carefully on this and similar products before selecting the Krups. Very happy with this one. We wore out our Vitantonio 2-waffle Belgian waffler after about 11 years. My daughter is a waffle fiend and we make them about twice a week, freezing the extras for later (Eggo’s got nothing on us). Nice to have the four waffle capacity. Yes, the handle gets hot, but come on–it’s a waffle maker. Besides, there is a latch you can grab on to. Only downside I would say is that unlike all the waffle irons I’ve used in the past, this one doesn’t notify you when it’s done with the lights. You have to set a 4-minute timer.
Difficult to clean

This Krups iron is difficult to clean due to the locations of the hinges and the lack of a drip edge. However it does cook evenly, which is difficult to find in a square or rectangular waffle iron.
Quick and easy to make lots of large, deep waffles

Makes really good waffles. Great for our large family. Quick and easy to make four large, deep waffles. Only drawback is difficulty cleaning if you overflow any of the batter. Hard to get batter out of the creases around outside of the waffle maker.
